Kevin Odom
President
Kevin Odom has over 18 years of leadership and development training, notably in government, finance, and hospitality sectors. Now an iPEC certified coach and the founder of Second State Leadership, his impactful journey includes a significant tenure as Deputy Director and Curriculum Chief at the Coast Guard’s Leadership Development Center in Petaluma, CA, where he realigned leadership programs and restructured the senior enlisted academy. Over his career, he's mentored 8000+ leaders on various essential skills, from strategic planning to conflict resolution. Before his retirement from the Coast Guard, he actively engaged with the Department of Homeland Security Coaching Collaborative, earning recognition as the Coast Guard’s Top Diversity Trainer in 2015. Kevin holds a Master's in Systems Quality Management and a BA in Management, focusing on leadership. Now residing in Rohnert Park, CA, with his family, Kevin's interests span surfing, biking, and exploring new horizons.
Dustin Beasley
Executive Director of Operations
With 16 years in leadership training and a 20-year tenure in the Coast Guard, Dustin, as the Curriculum Chief at the Leadership Development Center in Petaluma, CA, spearheaded program realignments and trained more than 6,000 Coast Guard members on essential leadership skills. Now a certified iPEC executive coach for over 7 years, he holds a BA in Psychology and is pursuing a Master's in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, enriched by certifications in Conflict Resolution, MBTI, DiSC, and more. Residing in Petaluma, Dustin is passionate about Strongman training and photography, showcasing a blend of discipline, analytical insight, and continual growth in both his professional and personal life.
